Pros:
Plenty of energy and effort; trying to get much accomplished (and shake things up – needed)
Securing the border and enforcing immigration laws (although I disagree with the enforcement mechanisms and think the immigration laws need to be very significantly changed to allow more ordinary working people in, while reducing chain migration and day-to-day entitlements)
Making European countries pay their fair share of NATO defense and charging the EU full price for U.S. weapons to arm Ukraine makes complete sense, particularly considering the U.S. debt situation
Stopping favoritism of minority groups (but perhaps he’s now favoring whites-which shouldn’t happen)
Reducing the government and making it easier to fire federal employees is good, but the method gone about shrinking discretionary spending via DOGE was illogical
Eliminating the Department of Education makes complete sense, but it should be done by Congress
The Israel/Hamas peace deal is a good thing (but lasting peace in the Middle East is very unlikely)
Cons:
Doing nothing about the national debt, that grew tremendously in his first term; his platform is largely about living for today (prosperity while he is in office) to the detriment of the future; he has done nothing and recommended nothing to reform entitlements
Significant abuses of the power of the Executive Branch by, for example, imposing major tariffs without Congressional authority (the Supreme Court recently struck down one of his efforts); tariffs make sense where local favoritism applies by foreign countries
Favoring those who are loyal, while punishing those who are disloyal (and most Republicans in Congress are lapdogs to him); loyalty is the most important feature in a Cabinet member, not competency
Violating the treaty with Canada and Mexico (USMCA)—signed during his first term (little had changed)
Having the Government purchase interests in private businesses
Favoring industries that shower him and his family with benefits, including the crypto industry
Favoring Vladimir Putin/Russia in the conflict with Ukraine
Having the military blow up boats in the Mediterranean Sea; international law needs to be followed
Pardoning the January 6th convicted criminals, and pardoning others whom he likes for whatever reason
Venezuela/Maduro (a military invasion guised as a law enforcement operation, without Congress’s input)
Iran war, without advance consultation with Congress (or a subset thereof)
Greenland
Ape images of the Obamas (whether he did it or someone on his staff)
Continuing to waste time and taxpayer money seeking to challenge 2020 election results
